Chasing Sunset

Coat: J Crew Factory / Dress: Vince via Lyon and Post / Purse: Celine / Boots: Old (similar) / Necklace: Baublebar

We made a little impromptu trip to Galveston this past weekend. I love the beach no matter what the season is. I actually had the perfect little spot in mind to watch the sunset but sadly as we arrived, our hidden spot was being torn down! With little time left and quickly running out of sunlight we decided to make a pit stop at this jetty. If I had known, I would have brought different shoes. This should teach me next time to always be prepared for the inevitable.

Thank you as always for stopping by and have a great week!

New Outlook

Leather Jacket: Muubaa / Dress: Asos / Purse: Chloe / Shoes: Steve Madden / Necklace: Kendra Scott

Happy Monday!
I hope you guys enjoyed your long Christmas break with all your loved ones.
It feels great knowing that this week will be another short work week.
I'm excited to celebrate New Year's Eve (still haven't found a dress) but sad at the same time that this year is almost over with. The quote on the mural above is a good one that I will remind myself every day for the upcoming new year.

How will you be celebrating New Year's Eve?

Comfort

Coat: J Crew Factory / Top: Amour Vert via Lyon and Post / Jeans: Current Elliott via Lyon and Post / Purse: Chloe / Shoes: Forever 21

As an avid online shopper, I try to avoid going to the mall because I hate fighting through the crowds and the long lines. I also hate trying on things in one fitting room after another. When I found out about Lyon and Post, their objectives mark off all the wants on my list. Their "Try Before You Buy" is such a great concept and no more hassles of fitting rooms. There are no fees to join or to try on their clothes. You only pay if you decide to keep something.
I queued six wanted items and was sent four of them. Of the four items I received, I love this striped Amour Vert top and Current Elliott jeans (the other two pieces ran out of my size so I went a size smaller and were too tight). They are so comfortable and fit me perfectly. I'd have to say, these Current Elliot jeans are the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn! I am thinking of purchasing these jeans to keep but I wanted to get my next month of items before splurging so quickly on my first month trial.

If you want quality brands delivered right to your front door and say farewell to fitting rooms, check them out HERE !

That 70s Vibe

Dress: Nasty Gal (on major sale) / Boots: Steve Madden / Purse: Chloe Mini Marcie

The weather this past weekend was amazing so we decided last minute to do a road trip down to Galveston, Texas. Even though the beaches here lack that clear, blue water quality, it's still a great place for a mini weekend getaway for family and couples alike. My favorite thing to do in Galveston is exploring the heart of the island, which is, the historic Strand District. The Strand offers an array of cute little shops, antique stores, and a boast of restaurants that are still housed in Victorian era buildings. I always feel like I am in a mini New Orleans when I visit the Strand District. After lunch, we stumbled upon this cute urban gem, Deborah's Garden. Obviously, we had to stop to sneak a peak at what's inside and snap a few pictures.
I really love the 70s print on this dress I snatched on Nasty Gal a few weeks ago on sale. The print is so fun and go so well with my OTK boots.

Thank you for stopping by and happy Hump Day!
