Metropolis

Jacket: Muuba / Top: Raga LA / Jeggings: Zara / Boots: Dolce Vita (black version) / Purse: Saint Laurent / Necklace: Kendra Scott

We were in Dallas last weekend for a family wedding. It pretty much rained 85% of the time there but we did manage to take some time out to explore the city. Despite the rain (which cut our exploring time short), the city of Dallas is so pretty. I love the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. It is the perfect weekend spot for a little jog along the bridge or for families and friends to hang out at. Too bad about halfway across the  bridge, it started pouring down hard so we made a beeline back to our car for cover. Hopefully next time we take a trip to Dallas, we will have more dry and sunny days to explore the city.

On another note, it looks like Houston will be having a very warm Thanksgiving. I don't think I mind too much. I've spent more time hibernating during these cold days than being active.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving!

Happy Tuesday!
It has literally been raining all day, everyday, for the past couple of weekends. While out trying a new Brazilian steakhouse for lunch (horrible food!) this past Sunday, I managed to snap a few outfit pictures before the rain started pouring down again. I'm kinda excited that the temperature is slowly dropping and it is finally jacket and boots season. Not so excited about all the rain.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Golden Hour

For those of you that have been lusting over the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots like me but don't want to pay the high price for them, these Steve Madden 'Gorgeous' boots are so similar in style and surprisingly super comfortable to walk in. I am not really sure how long I will like this trend so spending $800 for a pair of boots is out of the question. I really do love the illusions of longer legs that over the knee boots gives you. It's perfect for short girls like me.

Caught the lazy bug and has been behind in posting lately.
This look was actually during Labor Day weekend when we took a little trip to New Orleans. I always get really excited to visit this beautiful city. Since we only had a day and a half there, I wanted to take full advantage of the plethora of unique architecture New Orleans has to offer. As luck had it, about an hour into our sightseeing/eating tour, the rain came pouring down hard and we had to take cover as quickly as possible. After what seems like hours of hard rain, it finally stopped and we were able to continue our day, frizzy hair and all (photo session ended there).
For a day that requires lots of walking in the heat, I prefer a light shift dress with sandals or flats. This way, I can still feel comfortable while looking polished. A shift dress, to me, will always make a great transitional piece from day to night.

Happy Tuesday, my lovelies!
Is it bad that I am already looking forward to the weekend?
We usually try to make the most of our weekends by exploring our own city if we have free time. I've lived in Houston almost all of my life and there are still so many places we have yet to explore. It's really nice so see all the street arts that's been popping up around here the past couple of years. Fun to see and makes for great photo backdrop!

I think I've been having a little love affair with midi dresses lately. I've actually just purchased a few more and with this dress pictured, you know I can't resist a little bit of the low back detail!

Laced Up

Dress: Asos / Purse: Saint Laurent / Sandals: Steve Madden / Necklace: Kendra Scott

The gladiator laced up sandals have been a trend for a while now but I've always been scared to try it. I always feel like you must have mile long legs to be able to pull it off. That is until I found these adorable Steve Madden 'Werkit' sandals. Instead of lacing it up to my calves, I tried bunching it around my ankles and I really like it that way on me more since I am short.

What is a trend that you've always been timid to try?

Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by!
