I'm really going to miss Summer when it's over.
As excited as I am to start wearing boots again, Spring and Summer will always have my heart. We've been trying to take advantage of the sunny weather we're having and make the most of every weekend. Since the summer heat in Texas usually lasts all the way till October, it's been surprisingly cool these past few weeks and lots of rain. I am going to miss just throwing on a dress and go.

Onto something more exciting, I've been loving my new Ray Ban Erika I got from the Museum Eye District located right here in Houston. I recently lost my favorite pair of Ray Ban Aviators so I thought it was as good an excuse as always to shop for a new pair. I am already looking forward to Labor Day Weekend!

This Topshop dress has been on my mind every time I stopped by it's section at Nordstrom, but could not take the plunge every time I look at the price tag. I finally decided to just buy it (justifying it'll get a lot of wear) after stalking it for so long and keep re-trying it on in the fitting rooms. So far, I don't regret it. The light, silky fabric is perfect for this 100+ degree weather we've been experiencing and the side details are beautiful! The midi style cuts at the perfect length so I don't look as short as I do with some of the other midi dresses I have tried on. Overall, it's just the perfect summer dress for the weekend festivities and for all those last minute summer trips.

The gladiator laced up sandals have been a trend for a while now but I've always been scared to try it. I always feel like you must have mile long legs to be able to pull it off. That is until I found these adorable Steve Madden 'Werkit' sandals. Instead of lacing it up to my calves, I tried bunching it around my ankles and I really like it that way on me more since I am short.

Seriously, how can it be August already?! 
I cannot believe Summer is slowly creeping away. 
The bright tropical print on this dress makes me feel like I am ready for another tropical vacation. I love the happy tropical prints and subtle side cutouts on both sides of the dress. It gives this little shift dress a more fun personality.

Hello Tuesday! 

Summer is on full speed right now and it's been so hard to take outfit photos outside without getting drenched by your own sweat (TMI?). This super soft tee from Triple Thread Co was the perfect top to throw on for a hot summer day/night. I actually wore it all weekend long with both jeans and skirts. A nice, soft tee is such a great staple every girl should have in her closet.

One of my favorite summer staples would be a cute romper. If I am in a hurry to leave the house, I'd most likely reach out for one of my rompers. Easy to throw on, no need to mix and match your top and bottom, and super comfortable for all day wear. I especially love all the pleating details on the bottom portion of this romper and the parrot print is just adorable!
