Hello Tuesday!

Summer is on full speed right now and it's been so hard to take outfit photos outside without getting drenched by your own sweat (TMI?). This super soft tee from Triple Thread Co was the perfect top to throw on for a hot summer day/night. I actually wore it all weekend long with both jeans and skirts. A nice, soft tee is such a great staple every girl should have in her closet.

Glossy

Coat: Asos / Top: Anthropologie (old) (similar) / Skirt: Piperlime / Shoes: Matiko / Purse: Rebecca
Minkoff / Sunglasses: Prada / Belt: Madewell / Necklaces: Baublebar & 9thandElm / Bracelets: Baublebar & Henri Bendel

Everyone loves a great deal. As in my case with this skirt.

I purchased it from Piperlime during all the crazy Christmas sales. It is just another simple skater style skirt, but at the price of under $20, well, I couldn't resist adding it to my cart. The style is a little poofier than the usual skater style I'm used to, but adding a belt helps a lot and it also gives the outfit more of a casual vibe. It doesn't hurt that the skirt has a glossy finish with embellishments either!

The weather was perfect all weekend long. It was still cold but the sun was out, so was everyone else. It's just nice to see all the kids outside playing and everything looking livelier.

I love this time of year. Everywhere you go, there are twinkling lights and people just seem nicer during the holiday festivities.
As you know, I have developed a small obsession with midi skirts. With the coming of more colder months and all the upcoming holiday events, a longer length skirt or dress would make great options. When Eshakti contacted me about a review on their products, I checked out their website and was immediately interested.
Eshakti is a custom clothing online site, gearing towards real fashion for real people. It allows each person to customize the size and the fit of each piece to their liking so that it will fit perfectly to their body shape and size, and at a very reasonably price point! A lot of the clothes that I purchase are usually sent to the alterations to get that perfect fit (since I'm not very tall). I believe that fashion is not about the cost of the garment but about how well it fits your body. I was immediately drawn to this Jacquard embroidered fabric but had a hard time deciding between the midi skirt or the midi dress style. obviously, I ended up with the skirt since I figured that I can style it many different ways to get  a lot of uses out of this gorgeous skirt. I was even happier when I received the package for many different reasons.
                        - The item came exceptionally fast, considering that it is a custom made item.
                        - The skirt fits me like a glove and the length was perfect (there are side pockets as
well!). A midi length garment can make you look short if it cuts you at the
                           wrong length.
                        - The thick jacquard fabric looks and feel even more luxurious in person.

If you want to try your hands at clothing made just for you, Eshakti is offering a 10% discount code valid until January 10, 2015. Use code "thepartydress" at checkout.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! Which means half of the work week has already flown by and the weekend is just within arm's reach. Seeing so many transitioning their wardrobe into fall and here I am still trying to keep it light and cool because it's just too darn hot to be wearing any kind of pants or fall essentials. As much as I love summer, it would be nice to have some cooler days already but here, we don't get many of those.
