I am already looking forward to Labor Day Weekend!

This Topshop dress has been on my mind every time I stopped by it's section at Nordstrom, but could not take the plunge every time I look at the price tag. I finally decided to just buy it (justifying it'll get a lot of wear) after stalking it for so long and keep re-trying it on in the fitting rooms. So far, I don't regret it. The light, silky fabric is perfect for this 100+ degree weather we've been experiencing and the side details are beautiful! The midi style cuts at the perfect length so I don't look as short as I do with some of the other midi dresses I have tried on. Overall, it's just the perfect summer dress for the weekend festivities and for all those last minute summer trips.

Hello and hope you guys had an amazing weekend!

On Saturday, we had some errands to run in the Museum District so we made the most of it while we were there and visited the Menil Collection. Though small in collection, the museum houses some amazing paintings and sculptures and rare antiquities from the tribal of Africa, medieval worlds, and so on. There is no entrance fee so if you ever visit Houston or in the area, it is definitely worth a look. We were told no photography in the museum so sadly, we were not able to capture any shots while in the building.

Had to try to snap some quick pictures of this bright outfit I had on this past week before the sun went down. It is still scorching hot here but we have been getting a lot of rain showers (which we really needed), so I thought I'd brighten up my gloomy day with this bright ensemble.

 

I tried to keep my accessories at a minimal since my color palette is so loud. I've been wearing this delicate name bar necklace from 9thandelm every day since I received it. I even received a few compliments from strangers while at the US Open for Labor Day weekend.

At the Biscuit Paint Wall

I attended the last showing of the Broadway, The Little Mermaid here in Houston. It was my favorite Disney movie growing up and the Broadway version was just as great! There were so much cuteness jam packed into a 2 1/2 hour show.

 

Afterwards, my friend told me about this new, colorful spot located in the Houston Heights area called the Biscuit Paint Wall, so we decided to check it out and snap a few pictures along the way.  The bright background complements the simple color palette I had going on perfectly.
