Yay....it's almost the weekend again!

These pictures were actually taken last Sunday as we stroll around the city and found some colorful wall arts. We also stopped by to look at Bethel Park located in the Fourth Ward area of Houston. This hidden gem was once a Baptist church until it got burned down in 2005. What remains after the fire is now preserved as a city park and it is pretty amazing!

With summer beating down so quickly, I found this outfit hidden in my closet while sorting out all my clothes for donations. The top and shorts were worn so often last year but have since been forgotten and I don't know why. This reminds me that I need to shop my closet more because often, what's old becomes new again.

I can't tell you how much I am loving the shorts weather right now.  Well, lets see if I'm singing the same tune in the coming months with the beating heat of Summer. I've been on the hunt for cute printed shorts like these boardwalk shorts from J Crew Factory. The fun prints really liven up any outfits and are so comfortable to roam around in for all the warm days ahead. 

Also, my 2nd month of Rocksbox was an even greater success than the first! I loved everything I received and wish I could keep them all but my wallet says no. I ended up purchasing the Wanderlust + Co triple cage ring because I could not bare to let it go.

Beach Life

Two weekends ago, we took a little family weekend trip to Port Aransas, TX and did nothing but relax and play on the beach. This lace dress made the perfect cover up to throw on after a long day at the beach to run into town. Trade in the sandals and tote with a pair of heels and clutch, it can definitely be dressed up for a night out as well.

 As a self proclaimed lace lover, (yes, some may borderline on looking like a table cloth) Dolce Vita has been pretty on point lately with all of their summer styles (not just shoes). I find myself constantly browsing their website looking for new deals or finding sales through other sites such as, Revolve Clothing or Nasty Gal. This Kamala neon tank was one of the deals I scored while doing some online shopping. It is so light and airy for the summer months and just so pretty adorned with all the neon lace details.

It was finally chilly enough to throw on my new leather jacket. I decided to pair it with this cute girly lace dress I purchased a while back. I was not sure how it would look together or if it would look right on me, but I thought it turned out decent enough. I am so happy that it is finally Friday and am looking forward to a long weekend up ahead! Just trying to wear as much white as I can before Labor Day, but then again, I have never really gone by that rule anyway. Do you still go with the 'No white after Labor Day' rule?
