Star Light, Star Bright

Sweater: Forever 21 (similar/ Leggings: Uniqlo / Boots: Dolce Vita / Scarf: Forever 21 (similar, similar) / Purse: Coach / Watch: Michael Kors / Bracelet: Baublebar

We walked around Downtown Houston on Sunday and saw these nice (unlit) stars. Even though it was not lit up until nighttime, it still made for somewhat a nice, festive background for pictures.
Also, I am loving this lace-trim sweater from Forever21. A few people commented on my good layering skills until I told them that it's just one whole sweater. No layering skills involved here! I kind of regretted not getting it in the other colors before it sold out but I've found an almost exact match (a little pricier but maybe even cuter) from Urban Outfitters that I may be making a purchase very soon.
Hope you guys have a great Monday!

Happy 2014, you guys! I hope this year has brought a lot of happiness to all of you so far.

As always, I am once again lagging in my blog post. Here is my New Year's Eve look. In real life, this metallic skirt is much shinier and much brighter and definitely a head turner. The intensity of this skirt scares me a bit for everyday wear so I thought I'd save it for my NYE look.

I wore this to a friend's wedding recently and just now realized that I was head to toe dressed in Asos. It is by far, one of my favorite go-to online shops. There are so many cute options to choose from which, sometimes, is really bad for your wallet. I usually save everything I love in my cart (stays in there for 60 days, I believe) until the items go on sale.
Do you have a favorite go-to online shopping site?

Vacation is over, it's now back to the daily grind. I am in complete post-vacation blues. The Fontainebleau Resort was amazing and we'll definitely be back.

Wore this outfit to a wedding a week before I left for Miami. The black and white color schemes give a rich feel to such a simple outfit. The bandage materials combined with the skater style skirt provide a more flattering look for girls like me who does not have alot of curves.

Happy Monday, everyone! I wore this outfit to attend the closing night of the broadway show Wicked a few Sundays ago. A bit late on posting. As a big fan of The Wizard of Oz, I was very excited to see Wicked, since the show has received rave reviews throughout the years. I must say, it did not disappoint! The sets and costumes were breathtaking and alot of humor as well as emotions built into the story. I also liked that the story is weaved into the story of The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy finally drops into Munchkinland and we see the definitions of good and evil that we saw so clearly in The Wizard of Oz were so blurry here. The musical numbers were a bit of a bore for me, but everyone else seems to have loved it. Perhaps, I came in expecting musical spectacles similar to that of the movie i have loved for all these years. All in all, it is truly a good show!

As for my dress, I bought it a while back under the impression that it is the length of a dress since the website has it under the 'Dresses' category. Needless to say, when I finally tried it on, it barely covers my behind. With not much time left to get ready, I decided to throw on an old lace skirt underneath and it worked out perfectly. This $6 skirt I purchased from Forever 21 over 3 years ago has been the best $6 I have ever spent! I do like that I can use this as a top or as a dress option, so that I can get more wear out of it. Also, I have finally joined Facebook, and you can find me HERE!

That is all for now and I hope you all have a great week!

I wore this nude backless dress out to a bar with some friends. The color and the style of this dress are so simple but with the exposed back, makes it a little bit more special. The two flaps on the sides of the dress was to me kind of random when I saw it online but it does give the dress a more flowy look and more personality to such a simple dress.

I am so ecstatic that Friday is finally here! I hope you all have an amazing weekend and thanks for reading!
