Sunny Disposition

Dress: Billabong / Purse: Ted Baker / Sandals: Joie (love this) / Sunglasses: Ray Ban via Museum District Eye Center (use code 'eyelovepartydress' to get 10% off)/ Necklaces: Baublebar

I'm really going to miss Summer when it's over.
As excited as I am to start wearing boots again, Spring and Summer will always have my heart. We've been trying to take advantage of the sunny weather we're having and make the most of every weekend. Since the summer heat in Texas usually lasts all the way till October, it's been surprisingly cool these past few weeks and lots of rain. I am going to miss just throwing on a dress and go.

Onto something more exciting, I've been loving my new Ray Ban Erika I got from the Museum Eye District located right here in Houston. I recently lost my favorite pair of Ray Ban Aviators so I thought it was as good an excuse as always to shop for a new pair. As much as I loved my aviators, it wasn't the perfect fit for my face shape. After trying on numerous Ray Ban styles, the Erika was the perfect fit for me.
The Museum Eye District's online site is currently running their soft opening special. All their eyewear will be discounted 20%-40% off of retail prices. You can use code 'eyelovepartydress' to get an additional 10% off on top of their sale prices. This deal is running for a limited time so don't miss out!

Tropical

Dress: Lulu's / Purse: Saint Laurent / Shoes: Lulu's / Cuff: Baublebar

Helloooooo Monday!
Seriously, how can it be August already?!
I cannot believe Summer is slowly creeping away.
The bright tropical print on this dress makes me feel like I am ready for another tropical vacation. I love the happy tropical prints and subtle side cutouts on both sides of the dress. It gives this little shift dress a more fun personality.

Spring Details

Dress: Lulu's / Purse: Loeffler Randall / Shoes: Forever 21 / Necklace:
c/o Rocksbox (use code "quynhttran" for your first month FREE) / Cuff: Gorjana  c/o Rocksbox

As much as I love wearing heels, a lot of times I just want to be comfortable, if there is a good amount of walking involved throughout the day. I found these perforated loafers at Forever 21 and thought the white was different and a color I don't typically have in my closet yet. And it was only $15! I thought it looks dressy enough to go with this dress, so I gave it a try, and I actually kind of liked it together. With the dressy details of the jewelry and the dress, the loafers gives it more of a casual vibe but still appropriate for a night time look.

Oh yeah, is anyone as excited as I am for the Lilly Pulitzer x Target Collection???!!!

Into the Woods

Dress: Lulu's / Purse: Rebecca Minkoff (pink) / Shoes: Forever 21 / Necklaces: All from Baublebar (here, here, similar) / Cuffs: Baublebar (similar), Lulu's / Love Midi Ring: Etsy

So I told myself, no more white dresses. You have enough. Yet, here I am buying another white dress. I just can't seem to stay away. I justified my purchase because this one has the button down and the fun drop waist details that I love. In the end, I figured, why not? It's a light, easy-to-throw-on dress that will be perfect for the nice spring weather and the hot summer months. People are always saying every girl needs a LBD in their closet. I say we all need a LWD in our closet, or two, or three. :)

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Blue Holiday

Jacket: Asos (similar, similar) / Dress: Lulu's / Shoes: Sam Edelman / Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff / Necklace: Baublebar

Christmas is coming so soon. Only three days away!
I decided to wear this royal blue, backless dress for a Christmas dinner this past weekend. As I was searching for a red dress to wear for the occasion, I ended up with this blue dress instead. Something about the high neck with the low back detailing that keep calling to me. It may not have been the traditional red I was looking for but to me, it was perfect and it would make a great New Year's dress as well.

Thanks for stopping by and happy holidays!

Romping Around

We finally had a hint of fall weather this weekend and it was great! Don't know how long it will last but I'll enjoy it while it's here.
When I saw this romper on Lulu's website, I immediately fell in love. Not only does it have the low back (which I gravitate towards), but I love all the front lace details as well. The open back makes it perfect for a warm night out and if the weather gets a little chilly like it did for us, then throw on a light jacket and call it a night.

Hope you all had an amazing weekend. Knowing this week is a short work week makes it so much more tolerable. I am excited and thankful for a few extra days of feasting, quality family & friends time, and maybe a little bit of Black Friday shopping.
I hope you all have a fun and safe Thanksgiving and be able to spend it with the ones you love!

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.

Vacation is over, it's now back to the daily grind. I am in complete post-vacation blues. The Fontainebleau Resort was amazing and we'll definitely be back.

Wore this outfit to a wedding a week before I left for Miami. The black and white color schemes give a rich feel to such a simple outfit. The bandage materials combined with the skater style skirt provide a more flattering look for girls like me who does not have alot of curves.

Everyone should have a little black dress hanging somewhere in their closet. Sometimes, when you feel like the color black is too boring or mundane, you can always throw on a simple little red or pink dress like this H&M dress I purchased a few seasons ago. The style is simple and classic with a bright pop of color and can easily be transitioned from summer to fall with a few changes in accessories.

Happy Monday, everyone! I wore this outfit to attend the closing night of the broadway show Wicked a few Sundays ago. A bit late on posting. As a big fan of The Wizard of Oz, I was very excited to see Wicked, since the show has received rave reviews throughout the years. I must say, it did not disappoint! The sets and costumes were breathtaking and alot of humor as well as emotions built into the story. I also liked that the story is weaved into the story of The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy finally drops into Munchkinland and we see the definitions of good and evil that we saw so clearly in The Wizard of Oz were so blurry here. The musical numbers were a bit of a bore for me, but everyone else seems to have loved it. Perhaps, I came in expecting musical spectacles similar to that of the movie i have loved for all these years. All in all, it is truly a good show!

As for my dress, I bought it a while back under the impression that it is the length of a dress since the website has it under the 'Dresses' category. Needless to say, when I finally tried it on, it barely covers my behind. With not much time left to get ready, I decided to throw on an old lace skirt underneath and it worked out perfectly. This $6 skirt I purchased from Forever 21 over 3 years ago has been the best $6 I have ever spent! I do like that I can use this as a top or as a dress option, so that I can get more wear out of it. Also, I have finally joined Facebook, and you can find me HERE!

That is all for now and I hope you all have a great week!
